Definitely cleans!
I have been after a deep cleansing shampoo for a while as I have a lot of product build up from using hairspray/volume spray/hair oils daily. This definitely scrubs the hair of build up, though I do feel this left my hair slightly greasy after drying, even after using my own shampoo after using the scrub. I would definitely use this once a week for a good scrub, but would probably use it on a day I knew I wouldn’t be going out as I don’t think my hair looked it’s best once dry and styled.

Fresh and foamy
This actually foams really well. I wasn’t expecting this as other scalp scrubs I’ve used have been difficult to spread around the scalp. Also, the smell is gorgeous - so fresh and clean. The salt flakes were larger than I expected but still felt gentle on my sensitive scalp. However, in order to feel it was totally rinsed out I did follow with a shampoo - however, that may have just been me being over cautious! I also followed with an intensive mask as although it left my scalp so clean and refreshed, my hair strands did feel slightly dry. Enjoyable to use but lost one star due to me feeling I still needed extra shampoo. Would use up but before repurchasing I may see what else is available!

Please do not be put off by the paste texture, as soon as you start massaging your scalp it turns into a glorious foam that also refreshes and leaves hair feeling lovely! I’m converted and would definitely buy, I haven’t tried the matching conditioner yet
