Best cleaning balm
I have combination skin so was worried that this would be too much. It’s the perfect cleanser and I wouldn’t use anything else. I literally feel like my make up melts off and it smells so good too. It’s a little expensive but I think it’s worth it plus a little goes a long way so mine tends to last a long time. I don’t think I would want to use anything else now.

I got a sample of this and just purchased the full size after having used that. Oh my god! It definitely lives up to the hype. It’s so luxurious to use and leaves my skin feeling super clean but not at all dry. I was a little worried about the texture before trying it as I can’t bear the feel of oil on my skin but this doesn’t feel oily at all. I love it! Smells divine too. I am awful at removing my makeup at night but I actually look forward to it now I have this!

You have to try it!
I was introduced to this during a spa treatment and instantly fell in love with it. If you’re looking to try only one Elemis product, this is it! I would be very surprised if anyone tried this and didn’t like it. It’s a must have, especially if you wear makeup. I would always recommend a patch test with Elemis products as they do love their fragrance but I have fairly sensitive skin that shows reaction very quickly & I've never had an issue with any of their products. After doing some research on their ingredients, I have come to the conclusion it’s because they’re naturally sourced and high quality. I know their range can be pricey which is why I buy here because it makes it more affordable for me. I would say it’s well worth the investment & would go so far as to say Elemis has transformed my skin for the better, the brand got me interested in skin care which I was ‘meh’ on before, could never really be bothered & was happy to use a wipe and a cheap cream, which is fine sometimes don’t get me wrong but everyone deserves a pamper at least every now & again! I’m acne prone with combination skin & their products are great for me. Now on to how I use this & why I recommend it. I personally use this daily (or I would say days when I’m out and about or I’ve used makeup) as I would say definitely not to over cleanse or go overboard on the skin if you’re just chilling at home, I will leave my skin for a day or two if I’m not really going anywhere. I use it as the first product in a double cleanse or on its own if my skin isn’t that dirty, a little goes a long way, I use this on my face & down onto my neck & chest. I would always advise to leave this on the skin for 10 minutes or so or even a bit longer if you can before washing as it’s so nourishing that it gives your skin a nice treatment but I will use this if I’m short on time too. I then wet it & rinse off with the cloth. However, I am sometimes lazy to do this and it works just as well by not using the cloth in my opinion. Make sure before you wash it off fully that you first just dampen your fingers and go over the face creating a nice cream like texture before rinsing, don’t just rinse it off. I made this mistake at first and it didn’t work nearly as well. Although if you’re in a rush it’s not the end of the world if you don’t do this. I usually save the cloth for when I want a deep cleanse, usually when I have a bath instead of a shower as I like to put this on and soak with it on while the bath is steamy as I feel like it gives my pores a deep cleanse. I also use this on my eyes as it is the only product I’ve ever used which just melts off any eye make up, it’s amazing! Obviously be careful when doing this as I don’t think this is recommended but I just make sure none of it gets in my eyes & rinse it off really quickly, it has got into my eyes a bit before and I had no issues personally. But be cautious if your eyes are extra sensitive though obviously. Honestly you won’t need any other product to remove eye makeup! I think this would even work with damp cotton pads. It gets rid of panda eyes instantly. I have even dipped cotton buds in it to neaten up when I’m doing winged liner or if I mess up and get it on my eyelid or something & don’t want to smear my makeup. If you’re looking for a nice double cleanse combo I use this with CeraVe hydrating cream to foam cleanser & I find they work beautifully together. My skin is left squeaky clean but hydrated which is sometimes hard to achieve. I personally love the fragrance, to me it almost smells like Turkish delight. If you haven’t tried Elemis before & are put off by fragrance, don’t be, none of the products I’ve used smell overpowering or synthetic, more aromatherapy and spa like. Even if the smell is not to your taste the performance of the product will make up for it. This is a very detailed and rave review but I believe this product deserves it, it lasts for ages so it’s great value for money. If you’re just starting off with Elemis or just want to try the brand this is the best place to start. They’re highly underrated in my opinion & I can see now why people are so loyal to the brand.

Gorgeous but pricey
I really like this balm and the product does last a long time, but I think you can get the same sort of daily results with a cleansing oil for less money. I'd rather use this as a pampering cleansing treatment when I've got time to keep a hot facecloth on my face so it has the time to lift impurities out of my skin
