Replacement for clarins shea butter
Clarins shea better facewash was discontinued about 18 months ago and I spent about a year trying alternative cleansers, all of which were too soapy and drying or made me break out. Thankfully I discovered Elemis cleansing balm earlier this year and this works well for my skin. It’s non drying/not soapy, doesn’t make me break out and it does cleanse the skin and removes makeup well. It’s expensive but lasts a while and is worth the price tag. Would recommend for anyone looking for a non foamy/soapy cleanser and those with sensitive skin.

I always thought, I don't know why, that this was just for removing make up - I was wrong. I have dry/dehydrated skin so most cleansers I have used have always, and I mean always, made my skin feel tight and dry after using - not this! My skin feels so soft and not dry after use, I just absolutely love it. I love how you put it on dry skin and then add a little water rand it changed consistency - I cannot recommend this enough.

Elemis pro collagen causes acne breakout
Do not like the smell. Wry greasy. Does not feel refreshed when wash off. Wash cloth with it has gone green/ blue. Finally caused a breakout in acne like spots in the heat.

I have used this cleanser from the day it was released. I refuse to be without it. A little goes a long way and it removes heavy make up and SPF with ease leaving your skin so soft. It has a lovely fragrance too for that spa like experience. It isn’t recommended for the eyes, but I’ve used it around the eye area from day one and I’ve been fine. But it’s always best to follow the instructions. It’s a ride or die pure and simple.
