The Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder puts a twist on traditional setting powders. Aside from keeping your makeup set for 16 hours, the powder uses pearl pigments and amino acids to grace the skin with a naturally radiant finish, absorbing oil and controlling shine for 24 hours. Right okayyyyy can we just discuss this for a moment. What is this witchcraft. This powder is HANDS DOWN the most amazing thing I’ve ever put onto my face. This completely changed the way I do my makeup. Always been a tight bish and put off buying this even after reading all the rave reviews about it, bit the bullet and bought it, well slap me silly and call me an ambulance because this sh*t hits different. The way this just glides onto the skin it’s like nothing I’ve used before and girl when I tell you the staying power of this product like jheez it’s 24hr nothing is moving off this face no more shiny nose by 1pm or crusty cracks under my eyes or smile lines this b*sh is here to stay. Anyone looked up if Laura Mercier is some kind of wizard because this feels like it’s been made out of crushed up unicorn or something like it’s just on another level. Just buy it. First try with a loose setting powder
This is my first attempt with a loose setting powder. I wanted something which would set my foundation well and avoid creasing around the undereyes. The colour is great for my pale skin without looking white. The powder puff does not come with the powder so I used a small sponge for application which worked well. Without wearing much foundation under my eyes on this particular day, I was really impressed by how well my dark circles were covered. I think this will take a few attempts for perfect application but I can imagine using this a lot, particularly for special occasions as my makeup looked a lot more seamless than usual and definitely stayed in place.

Great setting powder
I have used this product previously and therefore have purchased again as is a must have! This powder helps to create a smooth canvas and a soft skin look. Only downsides for me is that it slightly highlights fine lines under my eyes. It also says that it is 'translucent', however it does add slight colour, which for me doesn't brighten under the eyes. I prefer to use this powder to set the rest of my face.
