The Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder puts a twist on traditional setting powders. Aside from keeping your makeup set for 16 hours, the powder uses pearl pigments and amino acids to grace the skin with a naturally radiant finish, absorbing oil and controlling shine for 24 hours. Great setting powder
It's one of my favourites because it goes well with most foundations (YSL, Armani, Lancome, NARS). It matinées without making you look like you're wearing a mask. With a good setting spray it lasts for good 6hrs without the need to touch up (I've got combination skin so it may be different for people with dry or normal skin). A little bit goes a long way. I had my last powder for over 3 months with everyday application. It's definitely worth the price!

Contains Talc...
I have several products from Laura Mercier, which I really like, which encouraged me to buy their face powder. This is designed for someone with oily skin, it is not suitable for someone with normal combination skin, as the overall finish is too matt and cakey. I would only use this on a hot summers day to take the shine off my face as that's what it's best for plus also it's long lasting. My main issue with the product (hence my rating) it contains talc, which is a big no no. If I had known it contained talc, I would never have bought it. Talc in make up is common and allegedly safe, but it is a carcinogenic which contains asbestos and should be avoided.

I was holding out getting this as of cost, but its definitely worth it. Best loose powder I've ever used. Think I prefer to apply with a puff over brush, mainly in the t-zone area, and you don't need to use a lot, so hoping it will last a while. Great product, the reviews were right on this one.

I finally caved and bought this powder after hearing so much hype about it and I have to say I am very impressed. I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and powders are a must have on my make up routine. This powder is very finely milled and lightweight. Once applied it melts on the skin in a way that it doesn't look powdery at all. It is worth the investment, highly recommend.
