Tried this as an alternative the Benefit. The shade match was perfect. Seems a little I’ll thought out that you have to buy a separate pump so that adds to cost. The product itself has a really distinctive smell which I’m not crazy about. I’m in my late 40s so pores are an issue with the wrong foundation. I felt that it highlighted my pores more than the Benefit one but it’s not hugely noticeable. I think I had higher expectations of the product. But if you read the reviews it’s mixed and it’s because we all have different skin and coverage needs. It is not a terrible product. You can build up the coverage which I liked and it’s not claggy. Would I buy again? Not sure…. In a nutshell, it didn’t blow me away but equally I’ll use the entire bottle.

Really good coverage foundation, not keen on the fact you have to buy the pump separately that’s a bit of a pain. I found it a little bit drying on the skin and it can look a little bit chalky. I still use it so I’m not wasting it but I’ve started mixing it with my usual foundation so it isn’t as drying. I probably wouldn’t buy this again.

This foundation is one of my two go to foundations, although I find this foundation is very near perfect when I light fake tan. I often find it hard to get foundations what are near my light fake tan colour without being too orange or too ashy. Mac with there wide shade variety has been a god send and feel most will find a shade. I would suggest you research swatches from real people, YouTube videos or even buy samples from eBay/sample shops first though to avoid disappointment. Mac foundation has been perfect. I have bought two (when they’re on sale) and either mix, or use one or the other depending on my tan depth. These can sheer down if you use a very damp blender or even a damp stippling brush (my personal favourite way) and I have heard people adding moisturiser but You can build coverage in problem areas if needed but it is more a full coverage foundation to start with anyways if you don’t sheer it down. I often wait for a few minutes for it to dry down to its matte finish before applying bronzer and blush etc. Because it can go streaky and Cakey if you add further products on top before it’s fully had time to dry. It does have a slight odour but I don’t know many foundations what don’t have some form of smell. The only downside I have a love/hate with is that it will give you a canvas face and can feel a little tight on the skin.
