GLAMGLOW Exclusive Marilyn Monglow Gold Gravitymud Mask 50g

We all know glam glow is over priced in comparison to its ingredients but I feel like part of what you pay for with them is the full all round experience. Let's start with the good. I love the colour of this mask - gorgeous gold shimmer which I love (it looks much nicer than then cheap "24k gold" masks you see everywhere)! The texture too is fabulous where other peel off masks have a really sticky texture this one feels smoother and this makes the application much nicer and less messy which is great. When you come to peel off the mask it's quite gentle - you don't feel like you're tugging at the skin and causing damage. The smell for me is just whatever - it doesn't add anything extra to the experience but also its not overpowering or anything its just whatever to me - its not a selling point but also nothing that detracts from the product either. For me personally, oh boy did this make my skin react ( I don't normally react to skincare and fragrance in skincare has never bothered me) but I was pure tomato with inflammation and my face was super hot to the touch afterusing it. After about 30 mins to 1 hour it calmed back down to normal and my skin didn't dry out but safe to say my skin did not enjoy. Even if we ignore that part though I was still left disappointed. There was no even tiny improvement to my skin (even temporary). Usually with masks there's a small temporary improvement but there was just nothing. It left a layer of the skimmer glitter on my skin and even after rinsing I couldn't get it all off. Overall even if I didn't have a reaction to this mask I'm just underwhelmed especially given the price point. I gave it 2 stars because the packaging is nice, I like that it gives you a spatula and it does have the nice experience aspects from texture to colour etc but if it doesn't go alongside an actually effective product these are pretty useless. I wouldn't recommend.
