Korean Beauty is very inclusive of sensitive skin. Ingredients like Centella Asiatica, green tea, snail mucin, and hyaluronic acid are perfect for calming irritation and reducing redness. Beauty of Joseon, PURITO, and Anua are great Korean skincare brands to explore if you have sensitive skin. 

Essences are usually lighter in texture, and are used to prep the skin for further skincare layering. Serums are usually thicker in texture while still being fast-absorbing, and the formulas are more concentrated to help rectify specific skin concerns. Ampoules have a similar texture to a serum, but are far more concentrated in formula. They are designed for short term use, providing intensive treatment for specific skin concerns. 

Korean Beauty is all about gentle formulas and long-term results, so patience is key. While it may only take a few days to see the results of certain products, it can take months to reap the benefits. 

In a few days, you will notice the impact of using moisturisers, soothing products, and acne treatments. After a few weeks, you may start to notice a more even skin tone and improvement in specifically targeted skin concerns like fine lines or hyperpigmentation. After a few months, there should be an overall improvement in skin texture, clarity, and tone, with further improvement to targeted skin concerns. 

Similarly to Western skincare routines, start simply with a cleanser, toner, moisturiser, and sunscreen. Build up with serums, essences, and treatments to fill in the gaps and address your personal skin concerns.
