Best foundation I've ever used (age 40+)
This is hands down the best foundation liquid I've ever used during the 20 years I've been wearing foundation. I have dry, very fair skin (I'm a pale redhead with light coloured eyes). I use the "Fair" shade of this cream. Coverage is long lasting and very natural looking. One light layer gives an almost imperceptible 'Your Skin but Better' filter, and for evenings or events I layer it up to give better coverage. If you don't use a setting powder then the cream will rub off easily onto your hand (e.g. when touching your face to remove a hair in your eye), so you should set your make up after applying this. You don't need a heavy matte powder to set it, just a light dusting of a fine translucent powder will work perfectly. The foundation gives a dewy finish. I don't notice the "glitter" that other reviewers complained about - there's a very subtle shimmer, for sure, but not glitter. You can't see actual pieces of glitter on your skin. Someone on here complained that it made her wrinkles show up even more than without the cream: she must not be applying it correctly. You have to pat/blend/sponge/massage it on to your skin for it to be done well. This is the same rule for all foundation creams. Blending and gentle but thorough application is just part of any makeup routine. Another amazing thing about this cream apart from the longevity, the flexibility of coverage, the natural effect, and the light dewy finish, is the SPF: Factor 50. It works. Believe me - I've got red hair and very pale skin - I burn easily. This alone has protected my face on a sunny day. (I recently started using Paula's Choice primer serum SPF 30 underneath, which I highly recommend for the combined effects of firmness and reduction of fine lines.)

Have used this for a few years now and won’t be changing anytime soon! I love the tube and how there is no wastage due to the design of the pump (although have had some dodgy pumps on occasion so spatters can happen- hence 4 stars) The cc cream glides on and is lovely to apply. The coverage is really good, I sometimes add another layer to build up for coverage if needed. Whilst I’d agree that the foundation is glittery, I like that, sometime wonder if I look like a character from twilight when in the sun! Really recommend and I’d say go for the plain version if you don’t want the glitter!

Sticks to all your wrinkles and dry skin
I chose a cc cream as this was so highly recommended. I opted for the illumination expecting it to be dewy and glowing. But its actually VERY glittery. I can physically see the glitter . It also makes every blemish and wrinkle stand out. My daughter actually told me she had never noticed my wrinkles till now. Don't waste your pennies.
