Kérastase’s Genesis Bain Hydra-Fortifiant Shampoo is a clarifying formula that helps to minimise the risk of breakage and hair fall. Ideal for weak, brittle hair, the shampoo gently cleanses the lengths of impurities and excess oils, while leaving strands feeling stronger and fuller.
The formula is fortified with a blend of edelweiss native cells and ginger root to encourage the illusion of thicker-looking hair. Enriched with Aquaxyl for an added moisture boost, the shampoo promotes a lustrous glossy appearance.

A great haircare range
I have tried lots of shampoo & conditioner brands for dry and damaged hair from the supermarket. I knew this range was good from previous recommendations but always thought it was too expensive. I then looked at the amount of products bought at a few pounds each all cluttering up the bathroom and not being used as I didn't find they worked for me. So basically a waste of money so using one of the brilliant Lookfantastic discount offers bought this shampoo and matching conditioner. After one wash and condition my hair was far softer, less flyaways when dry and after letting my hair air dry, even didn’t feel the need to straighten hair as my hair didn't look as puffy and frizzy. I will now only buy this brand and product range as finally realised constantly buying lots more cheaper brands to try and achieve better conditioned hair is just a false economy not to mention all the extra plastic bottles being purchased.

Lovely Shampoo
The smell is amazing and it leaves my hair feeling really soft and hydrated. I have oily scalp and dry ends, I think it works great for my lengths and ends. The only downside is my roots feel a bit oily sooner than with some other shampoos but it’s just the case that I might need to wash my hair 1 more time every week! Ive noticed a big improvement on my ends (they usually break easily) and I use it together with the genesis mask.

Good but makes hair more greasy
I originally bought this after carrying out the questionnaire on Kerastase website to diagnose the products I needed as my hair had been falling out for no reason. It has definitely improved the hair fall out and my hair feels much healthier, the only downside is it has made my hair more greasier a lot quicker. Previous to this I was washing my hair every 3 days and now I have to wash it every other day as it is so bad by the second day.

Unfortunately this shampoo doesn't work
I'm not usually one to write reviews, but I felt the need to with this product. Having been recommended by a hairdresser and also seeing the good reviews here I thought I would switch from my usual (Pureology) - I have to say it's the worst shampoo and conditioner I have ever bought. It has not helped with hair falling out and it has made my hair so dry and brittle that it's having the opposite effect. I'm really disappointed as it's a costly purchase for the shampoo and conditioner. I would strongly recommend Pureology over this brand.
