I wanted to love this but….
On paper, I loved the sound of everything about this foundation so was really excited to try it. No matter what I try I cannot get this to look nice on my skin, I’ve tried applying it with different types of brushes, a beauty blender & my fingers & using only one pump as suggested on the Nars website but it always looks terrible - somehow giving me poor coverage whilst also looking cakey. I have reasonably normal skin with some slight dryness & this manages to settle into every pore & fine line whilst clinging to my dry patches. Rather than give me a radiant glow, it just makes my skin look greasy (I don’t have oily skin), particularly round my nose which manages to look both oily & dry. Due to this the foundation seems to slick & transfer & definitely isn’t long wearing. I’ve tried it on it’s own, with different primers & setting powders & sprays & nothing looks good, it was a complete waste of money & such a disappointment.

I have been using nars radiant longwear foundation for years, and I needed to change colours due to summer tan, it arrived and was so watery, I’ve never had it watery like this before.. it is same foundation I always use just a different shade..

Absolutely love this foundation, I’ve been using it for over 2 years now, I’ve tried numerous of other ones, however nothing looks as natural and full coverage as much as this one does. I’ve got a very dry skin so this one keeps my face shiny and hydrated throughout the whole day without breaking up or leaving any dry patches. It’s also so easy to blend, my skin looks so good every time I wear it, this is my fave so far.

Not for oily skin
The foundation looks amazing when first applied. It’s a medium coverage and looks like satin on the skin. But, even after priming and setting with a lot of powder, it separated so much around my chin and nose. I do have oily skin but I expected it to last longer than 1 hour.

Omg this is amazing
I was looking for a foundation that was full coverage but was light and airy. I have tried Mac, urban decay, Clinique and Fenty but they all weren’t quite right for my combination skin. However, upon trying Nars for the first time I can’t believe it. It applies like a moisturiser and is easily blendable and drys perfectly covering blemishes. This product is quality, you don’t need much to cover a full face! It lasts all day and I often use it with the Nars creamy concealer, Laura mercier setting powder and urban decay finishing spray. This is the perfect foundation if you like a natural look and dislike a cakey appearance. The shades are also amazing!
