Create a natural, buildable tan with the Tan-Luxe The Gradual Illuminating Tanning Lotion. The lightweight moisturiser features an oil/lotion hybrid formula, an innovation in tanning technology that allows the product to melt onto the skin and absorb easily. In just one hour the tan will begin to develop, creating a golden glow with a lit-from-within luminosity. The weightless, nourishing oil helps to smooth and condition the skin to create a primed canvas for even tanning.
The oil provides a natural looking tan that can be built to the desired intensity. Odourlite Fragrance Technology delivers a light floral fragrance, free from the traditional fake tan smell while the Moisture Balance Complex and Hydra-Tan Formula ensure that your skin is hydrated to banish patchiness and streaks. The easy-to-use oil applies just like your favourite moisturiser to build a gradual sun-kissed glow.

Apply to the skin as you would a normal body moisturiser, lightly covering hands, elbows and feet. Thoroughly wash hands after use. Develops over 2-4 hours. You can apply daily or as desired to build a tailor-made depth of colour.

Good but not perfect
As far as gradual tans go this is the best I’ve tried to far. The colour payoff is good, doesn’t take much to build up. The colour leans on the orange/golden side, but that is more my natural tan colour so that’s okay. The fade is decent, but layering it does lead to build up which is obvious in more dry areas. It did dry out my skin but I haven’t yet found a tan that doesn’t do that. I applied with a mitt and never experienced streaks.

Streaky and orange - but doesn’t smell
This tan feels nice to apply and has a nice smell, no smell at all when developed. However it turns out very orange in colour and it is very streaky with very patchy fading - I have tried many other tans and not had issues with streaks (I have tried this tan with both gloves and a mit - issues with both!). I have since bought Evolve Beauty’s gradual tan and it is amazing - smells really nice and zero streaks, with very good fading (takes a lot of rubbing in but feels very moisturising). I have written the review a while after buying the Tan-Luxe as I wanted to try it a few times before leaving a negative review. And then wanted to advise that if anyone is considering a gradual tanning moisturiser to go for Evolve instead!

Great gradual tanner
I’ve used a few gradual tanning lotion over the years and never been that impressed but I really like this. It gives a natural colour, that isn’t too dark, which is great for my pale skin. It can be a bit streaky but I think that’s more my rubbish application skills. It does have that biscuit smell when it’s developing but I’ve yet to find one that doesn’t! I really like this overall and when it’s on offer it’s worth a try!
