Aveda Confixor Styling Gel 250ml

Really great even though its not exactly aimed for my hair!

I have really long thick black curly (well more than waves but not perfect ringlet style curls) and unfortunately it is really prone to frizz. But putting a little bit of this Aveda Confixor on and my curls being far more shiny and soft and not frizzy at all although I did use this in conjunction with the Aveda style prep and curl enhancer products so whilst I am not sure whether the confixor is the be all and end all on its own, the entire Aveda range for curly hair has made me proud to be a curly gal again so much so that I never bother to spend hours straightening my hair anymore! The bottle says it's for medium to fine hair but I don't seem to have any issue with the fact I have incredibly thick hair so i think it should be able to handle most hair types.

Best yet

I have alot of dead straight, fine hair and my hairdresser recommended this Aveda Confixor to me, as it states there is no stiffness or stickiness and it does not weigh down my fine hair. An excellent product for styling and keeping the style, would recommend to any one, all the Aveda products smell great too.

Strong Smell

This product does help style and sculpt, but it is a liquid, not a gel. The smell is quite strong and not a pleasant one. I would not buy this again. It's been a disappointing Aveda purchase.

Excelleant product

My hairdresser recommended this product to me and it ticks all the boxes. It reminds me of an old fashioned setting lotion and for a small amount (enough to cover a 5p piece), it really does keep the hair in shape - much better than mousse.

BRILLIANT for fine hair

I would not be without this product. My hair is so fine and this product gives it the hold it needs without stickiness, still leaving the hair soft, shiny and manageable.

Review of Aveda Confixor

I bought the Confixor after reading that it was good for taming frizz. The formula is very runny for a gel and consequently you only need a little so although it initially seems expensive it's actually good value as it will last yonks. It has taken the 'poufiness' out of my hair and made it much sleeker, smoother, nay dare I say soft and bouncy! Hence no need of the dreaded straighteners which exacerbate the frizz. I also find my style (bob) stays nice and neat and turned under after a nights sleep whereas before it would be stuck up and out all over and I would have to set to with the barrel brush and turn it all under again so a big thumbs up for Confixor!
