Developed for oily and blemish-prone skin types, the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ seeks to clarify and hydrate for up to 24 hours while providing visible results in just eight hours. The dual-action daily gel helps to minimise the appearance of imperfections, dark spots and discolouration, alongside diminishing the look of excess sebum for a more mattified finish.
Fortified with salicylic and lipo-hydroxy acids, the moisturiser provides a gentle micro-exfoliation, helping to decongest pores and promote smoother-looking skin. The formula is supported by niacinamide and zinc PCA, lending brightening and hydrating benefits, alongside encouraging a unified tone and texture. Mannose locks in moisture to help encourage a visibly smoother surface. An advanced phylobioma active ingredient tops the composition to protect from excess sebum and future breakouts, balancing the complexion and layering well with makeup to leave the skin feeling purified and nourished.

Really nice - for the summer
This moisturiser was great for smoothing my skin and getting rid of the shine that I usually get half way through the day, however I felt it made my skin look really dull and would be flaky if I had other products e.g serum underneath it. Definitely will use the one with SPF in the summer time for something a bit lighter that gets rid of the shine in my oily areas.

Disappointed
Done lots of research into this product and believed it would be good for me, I have combination skin and very blemish prone in the oily areas, sadly this just irritated and dried out my skin. I kept with it for a few weeks but it just doesn’t work for me.

I bought this product because I didn’t know what else to do about my dark spots on my face. I heard good reviews about the product and resulted to using it 2 weeks later my face has improved drastically it has become more clearer than before. It hasn’t cleared fully but in due time I see it clearing up. In my opinion this product is a good 4 stars.

Hydrating and creamy
I started to use this to help reduce dark marks left on my skin from old blemish scars and to reduce redness and dry patches. So far, my skin does look noticeably better, the redness around my chin and nose has gone and the dryness in those areas has too. I also feel there is a difference in some of the darker marks too. I’m hoping with continued use it will continue to work on the more stubborn marks from scars. It’s texture is really nice and creamy and goes into the skin really well. It makes my skin feel soft and hydrated.

I have really oily acne-prone skin and have really struggled to find the right skin care to help it. Since adding this to my skin care routine, it has honestly been a god send. I was a bit skeptical at first (nothing has ever seemed to work) but this cleared up my acne within the first week and has also kept it at bay. I’m still testing this item however after 3 weeks of use I’d say it is working. I have been diagnosed with cystic acne and even medication didn’t work. The smell is minimal. It’s got a nice consistency, nothing too thick. Doesn’t leave any white cast. Little goes a long way
