The rich face mask is infused with Argilla and Kaolin, which work in synergy to absorb excess sebum from skin, without stripping essential moisture from the complexion. The purifying formula targets the sebum deep inside skin, which helps to mattify the visage and leave the face shine free. Helpign to calm skin post-sebum extraction, the face mask also utilises a generous dose of 5% Panthenol B5 to deliver a soothing sensation.

- Use after cleansing your face with Effaclar Gel Cleanser in the evening.
- Apply a thin layer of the Effaclar Purifying Clay Mask to your face and leave it to dry for 5 minutes.
- Then wipe off gently with La Roche-Posay Effaclar astringent lotion or alternatively remove with cold water and a towel.
- Once the mask is removed apply a pea sized amount of La Roche-Posay Effaclar DUO [+] in a circular motion to the face.

Good first impression
First time using this mask & I'm pretty impressed with it as i have oily skin & after using the mask it made my skin feel very clean. It's a lightweight formula and didn't irritate my skin even though I left it on for longer than it suggested (I don't have sensitive skin). So far so good..

Good mask

I have very oily and acne prone skin so I struggled to find a clay mask that doesn't cause a massive break out the day after! This one doesn't cause any new spots to appear at all, the next day my current spots look reduced and less inflamed. It also gives my skin a very soft feel. It does control shine on my chin and cheeks, but only reduces it a little on my T zone. Most importantly it doesn't cause any break outs which is amazing! I use it once to twice per week but if I have an event the next day I use it the night before to reduce the redness. Great product, would buy again!

Alright for Combo Skin
I had expected the mask to be more clarifying since it is a clay mask. However, upon using it, even though it doesn't dry out my skin, it doesn't seem to dry up the acne I have either, which means I need something stronger. I have combination and sensitive skin and this didn't tingle or burn on me. It did feel nice, just doesn't seem to do the job of decreasing the size of my acne.

The skin is so smooth after rinsing the mask off and it also doesn´t over-dry. One disadvantage is that you FEEL that mask is working - you will feel a little burning sensation.
