Encourage a clarified complexion with Neutrogena’s Clear and Defend Plus Daily Serum. Summoning a radiant glow, the non-comedogenic formula seeks to minimise the look of discolouration caused by blemishes.
The serum is enriched with salicylic acid, working to de-congest pores and absorb excess sebum. Gluconolactone lends refining benefits, helping to smooth the skin, while glycolic acid promotes a more even-toned finish. Complete with Mandelic acid for an added brightening effect, the serum helps to leave the skin feeling revitalised.
- Application: New users should apply product to small areas during the first 3 days. If no discomfort occurs, apply a thin layer once a day on clean face, then increase to twice a day if desired. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
- Please Note: Avoid contact with eyes. Contains AHAs that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and sunburn. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.

Ok….
So I’ve tried this serum for the last week and it has made a difference on the spot I had that was lingering. It has helped the redness and it’s on its way to clearing up. This serum is not a quick fix. The scent of the product I can only describe as damp, foisty clothing. There is no added fragrance so I’m guessing this is the smell of the acid/ingredients. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Works Well
I really enjoyed using the Neutrogena Clear & Defend+ Daily Serum and did see a difference in my skin pigmentation. I must comment on the smell, it's not the most pleasant but I found topping it with another moisturiser fixed that. In particular, the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel as this was a strong scent and also feels amazing on the skin. I'd use this product again regardless of the odor. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Great acne serum
As a person with ongoing hormonal acne, finding something to help is major. I used this for the last weeks and it has helped my acne a bit. What I loved about it was that it helped heal the acne, but as a downside, it dries the skin very much. Wasn't too upset about this, as it healed fast. The only thing that I don't like about is the smell, but it goes down in a few minutes. Overall, I would recommend this to people struggling with acne. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Feels nice on skin, smell is off-putting
This serum feels nice when you apply it, it does help reduce redness on my face, and I'm sure using it further I would see further improvements. The smell is not very nice, it would definitely affect my decision on whether I would purchase the product to use it again. It is not a chemical smell, it almost smells like something has gone off. The feel of the product is like other serums, thin and applies well, but you need to be careful as it does come out of the tube fast. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Amazing product
Wow I love this product!! I always suffer with hormonal acne around that time of of the month but I have never found a product that has helped until this serum. Bad smell
I pushed myself to use it but unfortunately after 3 days I gave up because the smell was making me very sick. Very sad that this is the case because I think that product does the job, even in 3 days I could see it. Please work on it as it could be a great product if you really make it fragrance free or some pleasant smell. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Affordable serum
I received this product for free from the Home Tester Club and Neutrogena in exchange for my honest review. I enjoyed using this serum as part of my evening skincare routine 2-3 x per week. I liked the lightweight gel texture as it felt cooling and absorbed easily into the skin without feeling sticky. It also layered well underneath face moisturiser. I noticed an improvement to blemish marks after 3 weeks of consistent use. Pros- - fragrance free - Lightweight - Absorbs quickly into the skin - Suitable for oily/ combination and acne prone skin - Contains salicylic acid + 10% AHA/ PHA - Smooths skin texture - Reduces acne/ blemish marks - Brightens - Affordable drugstore skincare option Cons: - Packaging Cons: I disliked the screw top cap, it was too fiddly and would have preferred a flip top cap. Another issue was the serum is runny so even when the tube is squeezed lightly, too much product squirted out, which led to wasted product. The packaging could be improved with a bottle and dropper to allow more control during use and to eliminate waste. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample
