Applied to damp mid-lengths and ends, the innovative heat-protecting formula enriches stressed tresses with a powerful blend of plant proteins and Tourmaline to seal the hair fibres and visibly reduce the appearance of split ends by 70%. Play safe and blow-dry, straighten, curl and crimp without causing harm to your luscious locks.
Step 1: Prep hair by washing with Redken Extreme Shampoo and Conditioner.
Step 2: Apply a dime-sized amount of product to damp hair, concentrating on fragile or damaged mid-lengths and ends. Leave in. Do not rinse.
Step 3: Heat style hair as usual. Extreme Play Safe will protect hair from heat damage up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

It makes your hair super smooth after a blow dry. Just make sure you apply very little product and warm it in your hands before applying it. I have fine long hair and I use the size of a hazelnut. It's enough and does the job :) If you put too much it will make your hair look greasy...

I chose this based on the great reviews and assuming that due to it being pricey it would be even better! I’m not sure how much protection it offered but it made my hair so greasy and heavy. Sometimes after applying it I would then go to dry my hair and would have to rewash my hair completely as it looked so greasy! My hair is slightly thinner than the average persons but I’ve never had this issue with any product before.
