Teaming an oversized brush with an innovative oil-in-water wax formula, Yves Saint Laurent presents the Lash Clash Mascara. The thick, yet creamy, formula offers extreme volume with up to 24-hour wear, combining hyper-black pigments and smudge-resistant boosters for long-lasting drama and definition.
Featuring a patent-pending double conical brush, the volumising mascara coats lashes with high-impact, buildable colour, layer after layer. Iris florentina extract infuses the formula, helping to condition lashes with every coat. Designed to create intense volume, lift and curl in just five strokes, Lash Clash is your secret weapon for high-impact lashes.
Step 1: Sweep - Start applying the mascara at the root of the lash and sweep the wand upwards, separating lashes with the double conical brush.
Step 2: Lift- Apply the 2nd swipe by holding the mascara at the root of the lashes, wiggle the mascara brush and lift to lash tip.
Step 3: Zig-Zag Up - For the 3rd coat, apply to lash and zig-zag upwards ensuring the full lash is coated.
Step 4: Zig-Zag Down - Apply on top of the lash and sweep the mascara wand upwards for massive impact
Step 5: Flick - Apply the brush to the lash for the 5th coat, flick the brush through the lashes to separate each lash. On the inner & bottom lashes, use just the tip of the brush and apply to individual lashes.

Great for length & thickening but the brush is awkward
As the title advises, this mascara offered great length and thickening. The brush is the big bristly kind and I found it awkward when trying to get precision in application. A lot of product ended up on my eyelid and under my lower lash line. The effect it had on my lashes was great once I had cleaned up smudges. I prefer my old reliable Benefit Rollerlash when I am doing looks where I can't afford to have product smudges. All mascaras have a tendency to thicken slightly as you use them. Normally I like when I'm at this stage of using the product but I'm afraid due to the nature of the brush that this may encourage clumping more than anything else. We shall see...

It’s lengthening, it’s volumous, it stays ALL DAY but washes off well with cleanser. No flaking, no transfer under the eyes. It’s the best mascara I’ve used so far and I thought I’d found my favourite mascaras and they couldn’t be beaten. I was wrong!! 10/10
