To get the full level of protection stated on the packaging of Heliocare products, it is recommended to apply 2mg of product per cm2 of skin – which equates to roughly a finger length of product for the face.

Sun damage can occur all year round, even when the sun isn’t shining - as although UVB is strongest in the summer months, UVA, visible light and infared-A can penetrate through the clouds. This has been proven to cause harmful damage to the skin, which is why it is recommended to wear sun protection daily, even in winter!

All Heliocare products contain SPF 50 or 50+ to provide maximum protection from heightened sun exposure, plus to support daily use, as SPF application isn’t as regular and less product tends to be used, so the higher factor provides a stronger shield.
