Teaming an oversized brush with an innovative oil-in-water wax formula, Yves Saint Laurent presents the Lash Clash Mascara. The thick, yet creamy, formula offers extreme volume with up to 24-hour wear, combining hyper-black pigments and smudge-resistant boosters for long-lasting drama and definition.
Featuring a patent-pending double conical brush, the volumising mascara coats lashes with high-impact, buildable colour, layer after layer. Iris florentina extract infuses the formula, helping to condition lashes with every coat. Designed to create intense volume, lift and curl in just five strokes, Lash Clash is your secret weapon for high-impact lashes.
Step 1: Sweep - Start applying the mascara at the root of the lash and sweep the wand upwards, separating lashes with the double conical brush.
Step 2: Lift- Apply the 2nd swipe by holding the mascara at the root of the lashes, wiggle the mascara brush and lift to lash tip.
Step 3: Zig-Zag Up - For the 3rd coat, apply to lash and zig-zag upwards ensuring the full lash is coated.
Step 4: Zig-Zag Down - Apply on top of the lash and sweep the mascara wand upwards for massive impact
Step 5: Flick - Apply the brush to the lash for the 5th coat, flick the brush through the lashes to separate each lash. On the inner & bottom lashes, use just the tip of the brush and apply to individual lashes.

Just okay
I have a thing for mascaras and I’m forever searching for the holy grail. My lashes are blonde, fine and quite sparse. This mascara could be much better where it fails for me is the wand is way too big. I prefer a plastic comb style wand. The formula is just ok. It doesn’t give me amazing volume and if I add layers of product it makes my lashes look spindly and weird at the ends which I don’t like. It doesnt leave me with panda eyes throughout day and it also doesn’t flake which may be a bonus for some.

Dissapointing
Will not buy again. I initially thought I got an old piece because from the first application the wand was depositing dry feathery lumps on my lashes, which looked awful… The lift effect was ok but not impressive and it was giving me a very uncomfortable feeling of a dried-out product. I tried getting some use out of it by placing a coat of a different mascara on top but it was only mildly better. My lashes were dry with flakes of product falling off during the day. After using it occasionally for several weeks (on days when I was working from home) it stopped being so incredibly lumpy but got even thicker and drier. I had high expectations but have really hated using this product. I’m going back to my trusted Sweed Lashes!

Mascara pills
This is a pretty decent mascara but not sure I’d repurchase as thing there are just as good if not better mascaras out there at a better price point. The brush is oversized which makes it difficult for corners but It does volumise with some effort on your part to Handle with precision. I like a big wand and have always gone for volumising brushes but this was very big.

Excellent mascara
I have sensitive eyes and wear contacts and a lot of mascaras either irritate my eyes or don’t wear well as they run or leave an under eye shadow. This mascara builds up beautifully, looks great with lots of volume and stays put without irritating my eyes. I’ve tried lots of mascaras and this is 5* for me.

Does the job
Used it a couple of times so far and my first time using any ysl mascara. I looked into all the types and went with this as I like a light feather type large wand. Well it is large, a lot bigger than I anticipated and the mascara container is bulky too I wanted it slimmer and more refined. Anyway, the mascara glides on nicely. It does some to pill or flake off with activity throughout the day so it’s not especially stay put. I don’t at this stage feel it warrants the price. I love mascara but they don’t last as long as other make up so I would only suggest getting with a deal or if you especially love this. I prefer the gold packaging as it looks more luxurious. This could have been nicer if it was metallic weather than matte plastic and clunky. It’s the most I’ve ever spent on a mascara so I wanted sophistication. But it’s not bad. I would say give it a try if you can get a good deal.
