Natural brushes a great, synthetic are not so

Natural brushes (white coloured) are really good, firm, good application, soft on the skin. The artificial brushes (black/white coloured) are too harsh and bristly. The thin eyeliner brush is making my eyes water when I apply the eyeliner, no matter how gently I do it. Pity they are not all natural
