NICE TWIST ON THE ORIGINAL
This is absolutely my new favourite Black Opium having sampled it in the LF Festive Perfume Edit. Delicious and juicy and not as in your face as the original, it lasts all day and has a fresh, modern twist I get lots of compliments when wearing this. Long-lasting. You get that nice cherry top note at the beginning which softens out to coffee/vanilla/floral, then the cherry re-appears. I normally prefer fresh citrus scents but this is something a little different to my usual perfumes.

This was a blind buy for me on the basis of recommendations. It is warm,rich and sweet with quite a lot of vanilla and a hint of cherry. I was concerned about the coffee note and whether it would smell like an americano but I can't actually detect this specifically but I wonder if it may add to the warmth/ richness. I'd say it is very classy and perfect for evenings especially autumn and winter. I have deducted one star as I wish this fragrance would last slightly longer so I find myself having to top up and also it would be good if the bottle was refillable which sadly it's not
