I purchased this set as I my hair is badly affected by medication I take on a regular basis. My hair is very fine, weak, and it breaks off all over my hands at every wash. Nioxin shampoo goes a long way, and a small amount lathers well. I massage it into my hair and scalp for about a minute as instructed. The instructions don't mention repeating the wash, and one wash is definitely sufficient. The light conditioner doesn't weigh the hair down but moisturises well. A small amount is sufficient for my short hair. Both products do what they say on the bottle. The shampoo leaves your hair and scalp feeling incredibly clean. The conditioner (used sparingly) doesn't weigh fine hair down, and gives the hair a healthy looking shine. I think this set is a good introduction to the Nioxin range, and I'm looking forward to trying out some of their other products.

Since using this product my hair feels alot stronger and when washed keeps moisture in. My hair would dry very quickly not retaining moisture.

I have only used this product a couple of times so I am yet to be able to comment on the effectiveness of the product. I have very fine/thinning hair and I feel that this product leave my hair very stiff and coarse. I feel it limits what I can do and also feels like there is a lot of product on it no matter how much I rinse my hair after it. I will continue to use until it is finished but unless I see a dramatic improvement in my hair I will not purchase again
