Pureology Pure Hydrate Conditioner (1000ml)

Great price so was worth trying for sure

This conditioner is incredibly concentrated and has tremendous slip, meaning I only need a small amount to cover all of my hair, which is shoulder-length and medium-high density. Even though it's a daily conditioner (as opposed to a treatment mask), it works remarkably well in maintaining hydration levels in my hair in between deep conditioning days and makes it easier to detangle and later style. Coupled with the shampoo, the vibrancy of my burgundy locks is maintained far better than if I were using a traditional hydrating duo, and I only get the colour touched up every two months now as opposed to every month before I discovered this duo. I'm also very attached to the smell - I've seen reviews stating that the smell is overpowering and distasteful, but I really like it, so I suppose it's a matter of personal preference. The reason I give it four stars out of five are simply due to the additions of menthol and peppermint in the ingredients. While they do a wonderful job on my hair, my scalp disagrees. While both these ingredients would be considered allergens to me in their raw, undiluted form, they can be less aggravating if they're formulated properly. While the formulation in this conditioner mercifully hasn't caused me any chronic scalp problems, the profuse tingling in my scalp when I apply it can be very overwhelming, and as such, I feel the need to dock it a star for that. Besides that, I've had zero problems with this conditioner and coupled with the shampoo, it's easily my favourite hydrating duo to date and has been the foundation of my hair care routine since last January.

I love the hydrate line by Pureology: it takes good care of the hair, contains no harsh SLS which is very important to me, and leaves my and my daughter's hair so shiny! We have thin brunette hair, in case it might help somebody else to choose the product.
