Without a doubt the palette is very expensive and whether or not it is worth it depends on whether the tones, the quality and Chantecaille's environmental ethics speak to you. For me, this just is such a lovely treat. Do you need it? Probably not. Do I want it? Yes! The eyeshadows are mainly cool-tones, even the top row looks peachy, they come off as various shades of cooler gold tones. The top row of peach, gold shades are quite sheer and subtle. The bottom two rows are more pigmented and creamy and various shades of blue and purple/pink. These work best for me as one shadow looks.I prefer to use a stiff brush and pack on some colour and then pat some more on with my finger just in the middle of the eyelid with some of the more sparkly shades to really intensify the shimmery texture. This palette is more like an accent palette if you prefer to have matte shades and add depth. The case is absolutely lovely.
