I am not a big spender on beauty products, so investing £20 in an exfoliating cream is a relatively big purchase for me. I had high expectations based on a review in the Guardian, and I am pleasantly surprised not to be disappointed. The balm has a pleasant, slightly medicinal fresh smell, and feels very good being applied. I have exfoliated in north African hammams, as was expecting a similar level of ... productive abrasion. In fact, this bath salt is very gentle, but still left my skin very much refreshed and free of dead cells. After bathing, it feels as if I had already moisterised, which is slightly amazing. A lovely special treat!
